Every brand project I've taken on has delivered impactful results, establishing these brands as pillars within their communities. While the visual outcomes may differ, they all share a unified approach that connects with the unique needs and aspirations of their target audience, leaving a lasting impression.

How we built it

Discovery

When embarking on brand identity projects, I find the experience energizing. It all begins with a deep understanding of the client's business, their distinctive qualities, and the desired vibe they want to project. Together, we focus on positioning and pinpoint where they aim to lead in the market.

To ensure alignment, I initiate discussions with the client to define project goals, target users, and overall brand tone.

Before diving into design, I create a mood board as a visual reference to align both the client and myself on the desired direction.

Delivery

Once we establish a clear vision for the business goals, we collaborate to shape the brand's look and feel. Through phrases, copy examples, and mood boards, we refine the aesthetic and tone.

I present distinct directions to the client, discussing the merits and drawbacks of each. Through a process of combining and refining, we strive to achieve alignment with our initial project goals. Finally, I deliver a comprehensive set of assets ready for immediate use.

Sketching becomes my next step, iterating and sharing early concepts with the client to maintain effective feedback loops and avoid unnecessary detours.

Once a strong conceptual direction is established, I refine the explorations, gradually increasing fidelity and actively involving the client in the design process.

Impact

Every brand identity project I've undertaken has hit project goals, empowering these brands to become community pillars. While each project boasts its own unique appearance, they all follow a similar approach that addresses the needs and motivations of those who engage with the brand.

I played a significant role in launching the brand of Oregon City Brewing, establishing it as a beloved community hotspot.

I contributed to the branding of the Oregon Trail Brewfest, an annual event that brings together brewers from across Oregon.

Collaborating with the owners of Oregon City Brewing, I assisted in expanding their presence to a neighboring small town, transforming the town's old library into a book-themed brewery.

I developed a distinctive brand identity for a coworking space located in SE Portland, Oregon, offering a shared creative environment for individuals and small businesses.

I collaborated with Hoffman Academy, an online piano teaching platform, to update their branding in line with their refreshed website and product offerings.
